Division Worksheets for Class 3 & 4 — Free Printable PDF

Division is sharing equally, or making equal groups. 12 ÷ 3 asks: 'How many groups of 3 make 12?' (answer: 4). Class 3 and Class 4 worksheets cover division facts, division as sharing, remainders, and simple long division. All PDFs are CBSE/NCERT aligned with answer keys.

The rule, simply

  • Division is the opposite of multiplication: since 3 × 4 = 12, we know 12 ÷ 3 = 4 and 12 ÷ 4 = 3.
  • Any number divided by 1 stays the same: 8 ÷ 1 = 8.
  • Any number divided by itself gives 1: 8 ÷ 8 = 1.
  • 0 divided by any number is 0 (but we never divide by 0).
  • If it doesn't divide evenly, there is a remainder13 ÷ 4 = 3 remainder 1.
