Tenses Worksheet — Class 3, 4, 5 Free PDF

Tenses tell us when an action happens — in the present, past, or future. By Class 3–5, children are expected to identify the tense of a sentence and change verbs from one tense to another. This page collects free printable Tenses worksheets for Class 3, 4 and 5 — CBSE/NCERT aligned, with answer keys, no signup required.

The rule, simply

  • Present tense — action happening now. I write. She writes.
  • Past tense — action that already happened. I wrote. She wrote.
  • Future tense — action that will happen. I will write. She will write.
  • Look for time signal words: now / today → present; yesterday / ago → past; tomorrow / will → future.
  • The verb form changes with the tense — most common irregular ones: go/went/will go, eat/ate/will eat, see/saw/will see.
