Adjectives Worksheets for Class 2 & 3 — Free Printable PDF

Adjectives are describing words. They tell us more about a noun — its size (big, small), colour (red, blue), shape (round, square), number (two, many), or quality (kind, brave). Class 2 and Class 3 children learn to spot adjectives in sentences and add their own. All worksheets are CBSE/NCERT aligned with answer keys.

The rule, simply

  • An adjective describes a noun (person, place, animal or thing).
  • Adjectives usually come before the noun: a red apple, a tall tree.
  • They can also come after the verb is/are/was/were: The apple is red.
  • Adjectives answer: What kind? How many? Which one? What colour?
  • We can compare with adjectives too: tall → taller → tallest.

Example questions
